Rent a Moped / Bike and Visit:

Southeast Lighthouse

122 Mohegan Trail, New Shoreham, RI 02807

The Southeast Lighthouse is a national historic landmark that sits 200 feet above the Atlantic and has stunning views of the Block Island Wind Farm.

Mohegan Bluffs

Right next to the Southeast Light you'll find access to the Mohegan Bluffs. From here you can view them from the overlook at the top, or take 141 steps down to the base. These are named for a battle said to have taken place in the late 16th century between the Niantic people of Block Island and invading Mohegan warriors. According to local legend, the Mohegan were driven over the bluffs during the conflict.

Clayhead Trail and The Maze

One of the best hiking areas on the island. This scenic preserve features winding trails that weave along the coast, providing stunning ocean vistas. The "Maze" is a network of interconnected footpaths that invites exploration and spotlights hidden gems along the way.

Champlin’s Marina

83 W Side Rd, New Shoreham, RI 02807

Head to Trader Vic’s at the end of the dock for a traditional or banana mudslide — and don’t forget to order it with a floater or sinker. Proceed with caution.

ETC.

Beyond these recommendations, we encourage you to explore at your own pace. There are plenty of shops, cafés, and places to grab a drink in town, along with scenic roads and walking paths throughout the island. And with miles of beautiful beaches all around, there’s always somewhere to take in the view.
